Understanding heterogeneity
and early developmental mechanisms
behind autism
and neurodevelopmental disorders
A variety of different themes and topics our research falls within.
Moving, acting, and interacting with the world around us.
AUTISMS
European Autism Interventions - A Multicentre Study for Developing New Medications (EU-AIMS)
Wiring and firing together in space and time.
Traveling through the 4th dimension.
Molecular building blocks
All models are wrong, but some are useful.
The complicated tango between excitation and inhibition in the brain.
Endpoints with high clinical relevance and importance.
The beginning of life could be the most consequential to later development.
It matters?
Brains interacting with other brains in context.
I am PI of the Neurodevelopmental Disorders
research line at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT)
and direct the Laboratory for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LAND)
based in the Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems (CNCS)
in Rovereto, Italy. IIT LAND's translational research program is focused on understanding heterogeneity
and early developmental mechanisms
involved in autism
and atypical neurodevelopment.
